Ada Rizzo, an Italian writer, poetess, journalist from Kenya, shares her poem

Ada Rizzo, a writer, poetess, journalist, cultural promoter, volunteer in Kenya, Peace Ambassador, English-Italian translator, counselor, mindfulness facilitator, was born in Sicily in 1960. She has published several novels and poems, tackling profound themes such as gender violence, eating disorders, and heart transplantation. Among her books are “Volevo il tacco dodici?”, “Iris Ali di Vetro”, “Novanta battiti al minuto”, and “Ventiquattro Carati,” works that have received numerous international awards. In addition to her literary activities, Ada Rizzo participates in cultural projects and international anthologies for peace and human rights advocacy. Her poetry has received wide recognition at an international level, and her texts have been translated into various languages. Due to the subjects covered in her books and poems the author has received several recognitions in Italy, America, Europe, Asia, including the “Solidarity Award for Art and Civic Engagement 2024”.

Dancing Peace

Strokes of dreams,

Among the folds of a barely sketched sky

Silent artists dancing on the canvas of my soul,

Drawing light and shadow lines,

Weaving desires and memories,

Like a breath of wind among the leaves,

A tender melody that slips on the heart,

Leaving invisible traces of hope and nostalgia.

Each stroke is a heartbeat,

A silent dialogue between myself and the world,

A caress that dissolves fears,

A promise of calm beyond noise,

Where dreams blend with stars,

And silence becomes a song of Peace,

In the never ending breath of a suspended moment.
