DG KDA will submit a proposal to the government for constructing offices of Provincial Disaster Management Authority at the evacuated land – Spokesman

On the Directives of Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Department of Estate and Enforcement demolished on Thursday more than 500 hutments and other illegal structures built over amenity plots in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 1-A plots of the city, using heavy machinery and cleared 15 acres land.
Operation to remove encroachments was carried out with coordination of local administration and law enforcement agencies.
According to KDA Spokesperson, DG KDA will submit a proposal to Sindh Government for establishment of buildings of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on evacuated land in Gulistan-e-Johar block1/A.
The spokesperson further said that no pressure will be accepted during the indiscriminate operation against encroachments, and the Estate and Enforcement Department is spending all its energies to for eviction of encroachers of land property. The process of implementing a monitoring system is ongoing and steps are being taken to protect the lands from occupants, he said in a press release. (PR)
