8th Pakistan Orthopedic Association Regional Clinical Conference held; orthopedic surgeons urged to establish alumni to discuss difficult cases via Zoom to assist each other and ensure the orthopedic surgeries especially in the rural-based hospitals.

Orthopedic Department of the Khairpur Medical College is going to set up the Russian Ilizarov method of external Fixation in Open fracture.
This was informed by Dr. Naveed Ahmed Solangi, Head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery Khairpur Medical College in his briefing during 8th Pakistan Orthopedic Association Regional Clinical Conference hosted by his department on Friday.
Dr. Naveed Ahmed Solangi further said that his department is going to establish Diabetic Foot Ward while two more Operation Theaters are under construction to meet the challenges of curing the Orthopedic Patients.
“Currently, there were 6 Orthopedic Consultants who are doing appreciable job,” he said.
Principal of the Khairpur Medical College Dr. Khush Muhammad Suho addressing 8th clinical conference urged the orthopedic surgeons to establish alumni to discuss the more difficult orthopedic cases via Zoom to assist each other to ensure the orthopedic surgeries especially in the rural-based hospitals where patients need their attention.
Clinical meeting was attended by renowned orthopedic surgeons of Larkana and Sukkur region including Prof Asadullah Mahar, Prof Abdul Malik Shaikh, Prof Zulfiqar soomro, Prof Zameer Soomro, Prof Kashif Abbasi and many of junior consultants, post Graduate students.
In this clinical conference about 12 difficult cases of orthopedic were presented and opinions got from the Consultants about Surgery and treatment of the Soft Tissue Tumor, Ankle Deformity, and Radius/Ulna Fracture, Pathological Fracture, Total Knee Arthroplasty and other cases.
The distinguished guests were decorated with Ajrak.
