OVER THE TOMB OF HOPE

I participate in search

Of your personality

Mixed

Over the tomb of hope

Cannot escape from traces

I am there with you

For you

In search of shadow

Of early smile

Of embracing

Embracing

And kisses

With aroma of love.

***

THROUGH STEPS

In your endless walks

My memory walks

And there is no point detention

Not even through friction

Remaining from time

They leave traces everywhere

Are seen under a moon’s light

Those steps walk continuously

And don’t get stuck

Don’t know return

Tracking infinitely

Path of a lost discovery

For departure full of resilience

***

I WAITED YOU

I waited you as night waits for the day

Season to season

The word to word

I don’t want delays

It erupts my sorrow

And patience expands

Just as the maroon balloon

I waited you just like a sound waits the voice

Sounds of a song

With a soft refrain of soul

Don’t be late (today) nor tomorrow

Break the ruins

Through the webs of time

Run through empty gorges

(I) am waiting

At that height

Where soft air

Combing our hair

And red flowers exhume great aroma

With aroma of love

(You) don’t be late

Leave delay to go away

After seven hills of forgiveness

Translated from Albanian to English, Peter Tase
