Rain – A Poem from Uzbekistan

Raindrops tap against my window,

I looked to see what it could be.

When I looked, I saw the rain

Falling gently on my window.

Rain

Raindrops tap against my window,

I looked to see what it could be.

When I looked, I saw the rain

Falling gently on my window.

I was filled with joy and delight,

I took my umbrella in hand.

I went outside into the fresh air,

And ran and ran across the land.

Together with my friends,

We played happily in the rain.

Laughing and singing all together,

We sang our songs in the rain.

Rain is very dear to me,

I love the rain so much.

In springtime and in autumn,

I know the rain will come.
