SAU Students setup Relief Camp to help earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria

The Students of Sindh Agriculture University has set up a relief camp to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The camp was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University on Friday.

Students of university have set up a relief camp in front of Dr. AM Sheikh Auditorium Hall to help the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria.

Inaugurating the camp, Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Marri said that Turkey is our friendly country and being a Muslim country, it is our responsibility to help the affected people of both countries. He said that Turkey, during the recent floods in Pakistan and especially in Sindh, helped our people.

SAU-Relief-Camp-Sindh-Courier-1Dr. Marri said that Turkey worked closely with the Sindh Agriculture University to revive the agricultural sector, and distributed free wheat seeds to flood-affected small farmers. “We are working with Turkey on various technology exchange projects in agriculture and other fields.”

He told that it has also been directed to teachers and officers above grade 17 to donate one day’s salary voluntarily.

Director University Advancement and Financial Assistance Dr. Mohammad Ismail Kumbhar, former professor of the university and Director of Knowledge Center Larkana Mukhtiar Samo, Dr. Tahseen Fatima Miano and a large number of students were present on this occasion. (PR)
