Sindh government carried out the work including renovation of various parts of the school at a cost of Rs.125 million on the request of Naval Chief

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi Wednesday inaugurated new building of Government High School Sanghar.

Addressing the ceremony, the chief minister said despite limited resources, the provincial government was trying best for betterment of the general public.

He said last year’s devastating floods inflicted damages in Sindh and the government had initiated construction of 2 million houses with the cost of Rs.6 billion.

Murad Shah informed the audience that in recent floods over 20,000 schools had been damaged of them 7000 were completely destroyed.

He said provincial government was doing its best to repair these schools despite limited resources.

He said the international standard roads were being constructed in the district comparable to those of Karachi, while solar system and clean drinking water had been provided to the people of “Achhro Thar” a dessert area.

He said that the Sindh government is making every possible effort to improve the lives of the people despite the limited resources, while we are grateful to the people of the district who have given us so much love

Sanghar-School-Building-Inauguration-1Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi said in his address that Pakistan’s Primary education was the best education system in the world but we needed to focus on higher education and the research without research we cannot progress.

He urged the teachers to work hard as only they could make the country strong and stable through their teaching skills.

Pakistan Navy is at the forefront in the field of education and all the cadet colleges and schools of the province are being efficiently run by Pak Navy, Admiral Niazi said and added that apart from education and health welfare work would also be started in the coastal areas of Sindh and Baluchistan.

He said that Sanghar is his ancestral city and he received early education till Matriculation from here therefore he was feeling pleasure to visit.

On the occasion, Head Master, Muhammad Iqbal Kunbhar also expressed pleasure on the visit of Admiral Niazi to his school.

Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah while addressing the event said that 20,000 schools were affected during the floods in Sindh while 7,500 schools were completely destroyed.

He said that just as Admiral Amjad took interest in the development of the school, other personalities should also come forward for the educational institutions of their area, which will improve education.

Earlier, Naval Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Provincial Education and Culture Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah inaugurated the building of Government High School Sanghar and planted saplings in the high school premises.

It should be noted that Naval Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan had matriculated from High School Sanghar in 1980 and on his wish, the Sindh government has done the repair work of various parts of the school at a cost of Rs.125 million.

Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan also visited his matriculation class and spent some time with his classmates and teachers.

Children from different schools also presented tableau on national songs.

MNA Naveed Dero, Provincial Advisor Tanzila Qambrani, Javed Nayab Leghari, People’s Party Leader Aurangzeb Marri, Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch, DIG Muhammad Younus Chandio, Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Muhammad Ishaq Gaad, SSP Abid Baloch, Secretary Education Akbar Laghari, Regional Director Colleges Shahida Parveen Abro, Regional Director Schools Naseer Jogi and others also participated.
