In Tajikistan, more than 720 state investment projects totaling over 13.8 billion dollars are currently being implemented, announced the President of Tajikistan during a meeting with business circles, investors, and companies from the State of Qatar, where he is on an official visit, Avesta reports.

“Today, in our country, more than 720 state investment projects totaling over 13.8 billion dollars are being implemented. Attracting investments in various sectors of the economy and fostering entrepreneurship development is defined as one of the priority directions of the economic policy of the Government of Tajikistan,” emphasized Emomali Rahmon.

He also noted that, in line with the realization of the country’s strategic goals, significant investment opportunities have been created, and mechanisms for providing tax and customs exemptions, as well as guarantees, are widely utilized.

“Our existing legislation specifies more than 240 types of guarantees and preferences, including over 110 tax and customs benefits and reliefs for investors. Tajikistan’s membership in the World Trade Organization and several international conventions for the protection of investor rights is also evidence of the compliance of our legislation with international standards. Tajikistan supports productive cooperation with all international financial structures and has economic ties with 110 countries worldwide,” stated the President of Tajikistan.

Emomali Rahmon underscored that Tajikistan consistently takes necessary measures to promote business and investments, creating appropriate working conditions in this direction. Simultaneously, efforts continue to implement reforms in the field of investor rights protection in accordance with international norms.

The production of all types of goods and products in Tajikistan falls under the category of “green production,” stated President Emomali Rahmon during a meeting with business circles, investors, and companies from the State of Qatar. He noted that 98% of Tajikistan’s electricity is produced from renewable energy sources, positioning Tajikistan among the top six leading countries globally in this regard.

“In consideration of this, the production of all types of goods and products in our country falls under the category of ‘green production,'” said Rahmon.

Following the high-level negotiations between the Tajikistan delegation and official circles in Qatar, nine documents were signed.
