Shed and Pathway is being built along Dual Carriage Road from the Main Gate (Zero Point) to new Academic Block to save students from scorching heat

The foundation stone for construction of Tensile Fabric Sun Shed and Pathway along Dual Carriage Road from the Main Gate (Zero Point) to new Academic Block of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur was laid on Wednesday April 19, 2023.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur laid the plaque of foundation stone of the project.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that Sindh government has sanctioned amount for the construction of project.
In the absence of sun shed, in the days of scorching heat when the mercury reaches 50 degree Celsius, the students were facing extreme hardship while walking.
VC said that he has committed to provide the better facilities to the students and staff.
He appreciated the efforts of Engr. Ghulam Asghar Shaikh, Project Director (Works) for embarking this project in befitting manner in terms of technical as well as quality work of the shed.
Engr. Ghulam Asghar Shaikh briefed the Vice Chancellor that this scheme was availed by the University through Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) wherein the government of Sindh allocated Rs.42 Million for this scheme.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Amir Hussain Shar, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari, Advisor to Vice Chancellor on Academics, Prof. Dr. Hissauddin Shaikh, Chairman Plantation & Beautification, Mureed Hussain Ibupoto, Registrar, Syed Mehdi Shah Rashdi, Controller of Examinations, Muhammad Murad Pirzada, Director Physical Education, Mushtaque Ali Khasklheli, Chief Security Officer, Khalil-ur-Rehman Shaikh, Administrative Officer (Buildings), Zohaib Shafqat Memon, Secretary to Vice Chancellor and others were present.
