Merge into
A greater gust.

The Wind Blows Over Me
One gust of wind
Meets another,
One gust and another
Merge into
A greater gust.
One wind begins in imagination,
One wind ends
At morality.

The Official
My elder sister, elder brother and I
Have all built our own families and careers.
Towards my sister and me,
Father still treats us like children,
Scolding and chiding us freely.
My brother is a department‑level cadre.
Father actually has no idea
What this rank really means,
He only knows it makes him an official.
Yet every time after he berates my brother,
Consciously or unconsciously,
he glances at his face.

Mango Blossoms
They come in utter silence,
As if overnight,
Crowding every bough.
These surging blooms,
After their surge,
Will at last subside into stillness.
Blossoms born for fruit‑bearing,
They are destined to be passers‑by.
They trespass too early into spring’s forbidden zone,
And shall also be the first to be buried under winter snow.
Look, what lavish sunlight
Spreads over the grass strewn with mango blossoms,
Like my gradually shattered land and rivers —
A riot of blossoms,
Utter desolation.
