Weather Shines In The Rain

Poetry from Italy

Slides over the bodies reflected in the glass,

Shipwrecked in the bottom of a coffee,

Where the sun goes out.

WEATHER SHINES IN THE RAIN

Slides over the bodies reflected in the glass,

Shipwrecked in the bottom of a coffee,

Where the sun goes out.

They slide over the eyes

Storms of blue and I

Tattered sail adrift.

Currents push me

To the seas beyond,

Where I look for a flower

In the depths.

 ***

 YOU ARE NIGHT AND SILENCE

Shiver of shadow,

Water on the word, on the incandescence

Of the rhythm. You are doubt, a worm in the mind,

Fracture, segment, limit that the vision

Prevents the beyond. I pick flowers of light

In your eyes, dawns on my anxieties,

Echoes of other lives: memory and oblivion

They alternate, in secret saps and buds.

I am a night rose

In your hands…

 ***

YOUR NIGHT INVADES ME

I’m a waiting tide

Of the full moon.

The wave washes away

Memory rocks

Like the light of doubt

The reason.

Free the word

From the point

Of the brief illusion.

We get lost

In the unbridgeable

Distance

Of hands

That touch each other.
