Workshop on strategies for peace-keeping in academic environments ends

Exercises on stress management strategies including proper breathing, embracing the stress, accepting the imperfections, distraction as emotional first aid were also conducted

The two-day training workshop jointly organized by Sindh University Campus Larkano (SUCL) and Shaoor Foundation under Peace Advocacy and Community Engagement through Transformation (PACT) Project concluded on Wednesday.

SUCL 3The session was conducted by SUCL PVC Prof Dr. Azhar Ali Shah and attended by faculty members and administrative staff including Hussain Ali Kunbhar, Abdullah Shaikh, Ms. Shagufta Shaikh, Ms. Hina Shah, Wazir Ali Tunio, Ali Zaman, Ali Asif Abro, Ms. Irum Kalhoro, Jan Muhammad Shah, Mansoor Mangi, Azhar Ali Kalhoro, Naeem Shaikh, Saifullah Chandio and others.

All the participants performed practical exercises regarding various strategies for peace-keeping in academic environments including arbitration process, conciliation process, negotiations process and mediation process.

SUCLIn addition to this, stress management strategies including proper breathing, embracing the stress, accepting the imperfections, distraction as emotional first aid, expressing gratitude, limiting “grass is greener” thinking, working smarter not harder,  asking for help and making connections were also practiced during the concluding session.

At the end of the session, certificates were distributed among all the participants. (PR)
