Sindh University (SU) Campus Larkano will establish Iran Chair for Science, Literature and Art in collaboration with Iranian Consulate General.
Pro Vice Chancellor of SU Campus Prof Dr. Azhar Ali Shah held a meeting with Mr. Reza Parsa, Cultural Attaché, Office of the Consulate General of Iran, Hyderabad and discussed various matters related to academic collaboration for bilateral benefit of Pakistan and Iran.
During the meeting it was agreed that in order to further the academic collaboration between Pakistan and Iran a research institute named Iran Chair for Science, Literature and Art shall be established at Sindh University Campus Larkano subject to statuary approval from relevant forums.
This Chair shall also facilitate the arrangement of Pak-Iran Workshops for Artificial Intelligence-Based Decipherment of the mysterious Indus Script. Decipherment of Indus Script may reveal ancient connections between Indus Valley Civilization with its contemporary Iranian Civilization.
In addition to scientific workshops, joint events for the promotion and understanding of literature and art related to both countries shall also be arranged from time to time. (PR)
