A Plea for the Majestic Indus
O’ Rulers, hear my cry.
Do not cut the life vein of the people.
Do not let the crops be destroyed.
Do not make my land barren.
Do not let the fertile fields suffer drought.
Do not take the hope from my people.
Do not let the life around it starve.
Do not let my tiger river run dry.
Do not let the mother of great civilization wither away.
The sand dunes are now visible in its wounded belly.
The cracks on the riverbed,
Breaking my heart, filled me with grief.
O’ rulers, what have you done to my majestic Indus?
Why are you taking life away from the people?
Do not let my gardens dry.
Remember — this river owes life to everyone around it.
Everyone in the land of Sindh,
Fight for their beloved river,
The sacred river, the soul of us.
O’ rulers, do not let the mighty Indus run dry.

Oh, My Beautiful Indus!
Oh, my beautiful Indus!
When I see you, I lose myself in your serene beauty.
The stillness I feel, the timeless love at your banks,
The peace, the calmness and the soft whisper of history.
Sitting near you, listening to your eternal song,
You carry me through the echoes of lost civilizations.
You, the river of life, have given breath to the people for centuries.
Civilizations rose on the sacred bank of you.
Your glorious and unforgettable past and present, intertwined with all,
A legacy written on the sands of time.
You give sustenance and prosperity to all—the vein of hope.
The river nurtures and nourishes everything it touches.
Has given rise to the greatest civilizations
From ancient times to now.
Like a mother who cradles her child,
You embrace all who depend on you.
I live by your side, surrounded by your breathtaking beauty.
Oh, my Indus, may you always flow like a tiger—
Strong, fearless, yet calm.
May your beauty be eternal,
And may you witness the rise of new civilizations in centuries to come.
