Institute Of Business Management (IoBM) Karachi has announced that its high-spirited student, Asad Ali Memon, hailing from Larkana Sindh has accomplished an extraordinary feat by successfully reaching the summit of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.

“Conquering the majestic mountain means that he is now part of an exclusive cohort of individuals to summit Mount Everest and is now the first and only person from Sindh to achieve this feat,” a statement said.

“As he makes his descent, we wish him health and a safe return to his family and loved ones. At IoBM, we believe in fostering an environment that encourages our students to pursue their dreams and exceed their own expectations. Asad’s successful ascent to the summit of Mount Everest epitomizes the values and ethos we strive to instill in all our students – a passion for exploration, an indomitable spirit, and a relentless pursuit of greatness,” IoBM said.

Statement added: “As an Institute, we are proud to have supported Asad in his quest to acclaim the highest prize that exists in the world of mountaineering that is, reaching the absolute top of the world!”

Earlier in March, addressing a press conference here, Asad Ali Memon, the only recognized mountaineer from Sindh, had announced his mission.

With a mission of summiting the 14 highest peaks in the world, Asad was set to march towards Nepal to climb Mount Everest.

Asad had said his goal is bigger but small steps will help him achieve it. “I have a goal to summit all 14 highest peaks in the world. Everest is my next target,” he shared.

“Without government support, I have climbed multiple highest peaks in different parts of the world. This time it’s Mount Everest and still no support from the government,” the young mountaineer lamented.

Asad also aims to summit the highest peak in all seven continents. His journey of seven-summit started in 2019 when he became the youngest Pakistani to climb Europe’s highest peak Elbrus, followed by South America’s highest peak Aconcagua, in 2020. He then went on to climb Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro in just 20 hours, becoming the first Asian and only Pakistani to achieve this feat. In 2022, Asad became the youngest Pakistani as well as the third from the country to climb North America’s highest peak, Denali.

“Climbing Everest is always a tough task. But, I am confident to do it in April this year. I am the only Pakistani in a group of mountaineers who are going to summit Everest in April this year,” he had showed his determination.
