Gas load-shedding in Pakistan has become a major issue for the people, making their lives incredibly difficult, especially during the winter months. The shortage of gas has led to frequent and prolonged power outages, leaving people without the means to keep warm and cook their food. Strangely, Sindh suffers more, despite the fact that seventy percent of total gas production is contributed by this province.

The impact of gas load-shedding is severe in urban as well as rural areas, where many households rely on gas for heating and cooking. With the shortage of gas, people of rural areas are forced to use alternative methods such as firewood or coal, which can be hazardous to their health and the environment. In urban areas, people have resorted to using electric heaters, but with the already unreliable electricity supply, this is not a viable solution.

The lack of gas has also had a significant impact on businesses, with many industries, such as textile and manufacturing, being forced to reduce their production due to the shortage of fuel. This has resulted in a loss of income for many workers and has further exacerbated the economic challenges facing the country.

Furthermore, the shortage of gas has also affected the healthcare sector, with hospitals struggling to provide adequate heating for patients and medical equipment. This has put the lives of many at risk, especially those who are vulnerable to the cold weather.

The government has been unable to effectively address the issue of gas load-shedding, despite promises to resolve the problem. This has led to widespread frustration and anger among the people, who feel that their basic needs are being neglected.

Gas Load-Shedding-LPGIn conclusion, gas load-shedding in Pakistan has made people’s lives incredibly difficult, especially during the winter months. The shortage of gas has led to frequent power outages, making it difficult for people to keep warm and cook their food. The government needs to take urgent action to address this issue and ensure that the people have access to a reliable and consistent supply of gas. Failure to do so will only exacerbate the suffering of the people and further damage the country’s economy.

The unusual disruption of natural gas supply is making peoples’ life difficult, as it has been yet another burden on low-and middle class families. In this unprecedented inflation, they can’t afford liquefied petroleum gas or eat in restaurants which is seriously overpriced. They already have many other expenditures and students who study late night are not even able to make tea or coffee for themselves.

My I appeal to SSGC (Sui southern gas company) and government is to take serious steps resolve this problem.
