Heart – A Poem from Uzbekistan

The heart is crushed by injustice,

Purity heals the soul,

The heart lives on sweet words,

A bitter word hurts the heart…

Heart

Let the heart become a seeing eye,

Let the heart become a saying.

It’s the eye that sees, it’s actually the heart,

It’s a word, it’s a heart.

Oh heart, heart!

Whomever you do not wander,

Feelings of love are cheap because of you,

Who is worse off than you?

Whose dreams are you…?

Let the heart become a seeing eye,

Let the heart become a saying,

The invisible eye is actually the heart,

It’s an unknown word, it’s actually the heart…

The heart is crushed by injustice,

Purity heals the soul,

The heart lives on sweet words,

A bitter word hurts the heart…

It’s the eye that sees, it’s actually the heart,

It’s a word, it’s actually the heart,

The heart is an intangible feeling,

This heart is the way to Allah…
