My Motherland
I have wandered the world, seen many lands,
In paradise-like countries I walked in amaze,
But none has touched my heart like you,
No land compares to you, my motherland!
I found no bread sweeter than your name,
No word more precious than your fame.
No glory higher than yours I found,
Your name shines eternal, my motherland!
You are revered like a mother, so grand,
In your name the Jadids carved a stand.
Great you are, holy and free,
Even a handful of your soil is dear to me.
Your future is sacred, like my mother’s care,
Like the lullabies she whispers with prayer.
Like the fields soaked with my ancestors’ blood,
You are holy, exalted, my motherland!
Paradise-like homeland, my era, my pride,
A handful of your soil is dearer than gems worldwide.
I would not trade you for palaces or thrones,
For within my soul you live — my own, my motherland!
