Minister for Minority Affairs Gianchand Essrani inaugurates development schemes at the shrine of Lord Jhulelal in Uderolal town

Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Gianchand Essrani announced on Wednesday a project to rehabilitate the birthplace and shrine of Lord Jhulelal in Nasarpur, a historic town of Sindh.

“An amount of Rs.30 million will be earmarked in the provincial budget of fiscal year 2023-24 for the rehabilitation scheme of birthplace and shrine of Lord Jhulelal in Nasarpur town,” he announced this during his visit to shrine of Lord Jhulelal in Uderolal town of Matiari district on April 5, 2023.

“Shrine in Nasarpur town is a sacred place of Hindu community and the provincial government will allocate funds for its rehabilitation,” he said addressing the inaugural ceremony of certain development schemes at Uderolal shrine, according to an official handout.

Jhulelal-Uderolal-Sindh-CourierMinister Gianchand Essrani inaugurated some development schemes completed at a cost of Rs.30 million. The schemes included block works in the yard and interior of the shrine, two halls for the pilgrims and tile work and decoration in the entire shrine area.

Essrani further announced the solar system of 50kv has been approved for the shrine and the scheme would be executed in phases.

Jhulelal-Uderolal-Sindh-Courier-1He also announced welfare schemes worth Rs.30 million for the schedule caste communities of Matiari district and said that eight schemes have been approved and the work will soon be started.

Minister said that Pakistan People’s Party was the only party that attaches importance to the rights of minority communities. “The work is underway on hundreds of development schemes including temples, Ashrams, Shamshan Ghats, Gurdwaras etc.”, Essrani said adding that he himself is supervising the work.
