Sardar Shah said that the non-functional schools will also be reopened in partnership with private sector. He added that education department is negotiating with an organization to complete the remaining work of Public School in Tando Muhammad Khan.

Minister disclosed that over six million children are out of school in Sindh and his department would soon launch a special drive to enroll the children in schools. “From January, we will go door to door and ask the parents to get their children enrolled in schools.”

Admitting that the situation with regard to education in Tando Muhammad Khan district was not satisfactory, Sardar Shah said he has issued directives in this regard to the Director of Hyderabad Region and District Education Officer of Tando Muhammad Khan.

He said the recent floods and rains deteriorated the situation further in education sector in whole of Sindh.
