The victim family’s house collapsed in 2022 floods and their agriculture lands are still inundated

The family of a 5th class student Shah Jahan Qureshi, who lost his life in 2008 during cross-fire between PPP and PML-N groups, have appealed to Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilwal Bhutto Zardari to fulfill promise, which he made with them.
12 year boy Shah Jahan son of Lala Abdul Sattar Qureshi was killed during firing between PPP and PML activists in general election 2008 public rally.
Student Shah Jahan Qureshi’s murder case was registered against PPP MNA Rafique Ahmed Jamli’s brother Saeed Ahmed Jamali, former Sindh Chief Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi’s son Sadaquat Ali Jatio, PPP local leader Shabbir Abro, M Umar Panhwer, former CMO Gul Hassan Qumbrani and other PPP and PML local leaders.
Later, family members had withdrawn from case when former Prime Minister Mir Zafrullah Jamali approached and negotiated with them.
Lala Abdul Sattar Qureshi, father of deceased child Shah Jahan told this reporter that in 2008 general election in public rally his son was raising slogans in favor of Pakistan People’s Party. At that time firing took place between PPP and PML activists and during exchange of firing from both sides his son got bullet injuries and died.
He said that after murder of his son Shah Jahan Qureshi, Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had arrived at their house and had promised that PPP would give Job to his another son in police department as ASI but party leadership had given him fake order of police constable.
He said that not only Bilawal did fake promise but his father former president of Pakistan and PPP former chairman Asif Ali Zardari had also announced that a flat would be given to Shah Jahan’s parents but till yet PPP has not given any flat. He said that PPP leadership had given flats in Islamabad and Karachi in the name of martyred activists but real heirs of martyred who sacrificed for party are neglected.
He said that many time he had gone to Bilawal House to get the grievances redressed but PPP MNAs and MPAs did not allow him to meet Bilawal.
Lala Abdul Sattar Qureshi said that in recent monsoon rains their ancestral house in village Ali Hyder Meno collapsed and agriculture land is still under water. He said that he had appealed to local MNAs and MPAs and district administration but no one is ready to redress grievances.
He appealed to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to meet with victim family members and redress the grievance or otherwise they would stage demonstration before Press Club Karachi against party injustice.
