The Youth Unemployment – A Chronic Issue of Pakistan

To eliminate poverty and unemployment, our system should change its policies and methods of hiring and keeping people on jobs.

Youth unemployment is the main problem that Pakistan is facing these days, and due to this, poverty is rising to its peak. Pakistan institute of Development Economics says that over 31% of Pakistan’s youth are currently unemployed, with many of them holding professional degrees. There are many reasons of it. One reason is that whenever a graduate person appears for a job interview, instead of providing him a chance to experience skilled people, he is expected to have a high experience in that area. The other reason is that the age of retirement in Pakistan is 60. In many government institutes, officers are not even able to work continuously for a few hours but they are on the seat. As a result, many talented people are still looking for jobs, despite their ability, talent, and working power, due to a lack of vacancies.

To eliminate poverty and unemployment, our system should change its policies and methods of hiring and keeping people on jobs.
