According to a research paper published in the “Journal of Happiness Studies, income inequality is found to hurt life satisfaction. Balochistan, the richest province of the country appears to be a great example of this tragic issue. This is not the first burning issue of the province but Balochistan has been facing multiple problems which include feeble education, inflation, economic crises, political instability, enforced disappearances, and the list goes on.

Due to a lack of employment opportunities in Balochistan, the youth of the province is more vulnerable compared to other provinces. The unemployment rate in the province stands at 4.3 percent for this year which means some 531,050 people will remain unemployed for this fiscal year. The resources in Balochistan are extremely lucrative for the political leaders but when the province suffers from challenges, at that time they turn a blind eye to it and its people.

Each year nearly 25000 students are graduating from different universities in Balochistan but unluckily, only 2,000 can manage to secure jobs others are in hot water

Balochistan-Unemployment-1More importantly, according to the International Labor Organization (ILO), the rate of youth in labor Balochistan is 44.44 percent which is the lowest among all the other provinces of the country. The people of Balochistan dream, to have government jobs. It is because they are told since their childhood that they must work hard and bring good grades to get a respectable Sarkari Naukri( Government job) after completing their education. Several graduated students are still without jobs spending their lives in hardships but they cannot attract the attention of social and electronic media themselves, which is the true inequality for Balochistan and its people.

According to the reports, each year nearly 25000 students are graduating from different universities in Balochistan but unluckily, only 2,000 can manage to secure jobs while others are in hot water. The seemingly lucrative tool of Pakistan, Balochistan has been deprived and misunderstood by multiple people of the country.

Unemployment in Balochistan is a prime factor behind all the problems

The rate of unemployment is mushrooming rapidly in Balochistan. It has the highest rate of unemployment in history, because of corruption, weak education, poverty, discrimination, etc. Unemployment is the biggest problem being faced by the people of Balochistan which is the main cause behind high rate of suicide cases, growing criminal activities, robbery, and other illegal acts being committed due to deprivation. It can be said that unemployment in Balochistan is a prime factor behind all the problems.

The federal government must encourage and intensify the side businesses of the province such as the Iran Border as well as Afghanistan Border where the unemployed can secure any job for livelihood. It should also keep trying on top to provide equal jobs in the province as well as in federal government departments.
