249 SAU Students Receive Scholarship Cheques

The total amount of scholarship cheques was Rs.10.326 million. VC, Sindh Agriculture University distributed the cheques.

Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tando Jam, distributed the Scholarship Cheques among deserving students of the University under the Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship Program.

A total of 249 scholarship cheques of Rs.10.326 million were distributed among deserving and eligible students.

Cheques were distributed among students of the first, second, third, fourth year of 2K16, 2K17, 2K18,, K19 and 2K20 batches, enrolled in different faculties of the University, at a ceremony held in Senate Hall of the University on Thursday.

Addressing the students, Dr. Fateh Marri said that in the era of competition, we will not be able to achieve our goals without hard work and research; therefore the youth of Sindh will have to take education and research seriously.

SAU-Scholarship-Sindh-CourierHe said that there is no other way to make a place in the private and public sectors except academic performance and there are many benefits and opportunities for poor and hardworking students.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Director University Advancement and Financial Assistance said, “We are doing our best to help the students to get scholarships and we wish that Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship, USAID-funded Merit and Needs-based Scholarship, HEC-Need Based Scholarships, Mora Scholarships, AAK Scholarships, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Scholarships and other scholarships can be availed by the students.”

Syed Nauman Ali Shah, Focal Person Scholarships Program brief out the Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship Program said that it can be helping to reduce the poverty and sustain the economic growth of the student’s family to support it in this program. (PR)
