Sindh Culture & Tourism Department organized the festival to promote tourism in Thatta district

Thatta: The two-day Keenjhar Tourism Festival concluded on Tuesday night with a Musical Concert wherein renowned singers including Ahamed Mughal, Nazakat Faqir, Khushbu Laghari, comedian Asghar Khoso and others entertained the audience.
Special performance by Deeba Saher, who performed after a long time in a public event, left an enduring impact on the listeners as they were seen dancing vehemently on her songs.
The Festival was organized by Sindh Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities Department at the STDC resort located on the bank of legendary Keenjhar Lake associated with the folk love story of Noori and Jam Tamachi, to promote tourism in the historically rich district.

The embroidery, handicrafts, exquisitely woven “Thari Shawls” and other items depicting the Sindhi culture were put on display. Besides, stalls of traditional foods and bookstalls were also set up to attract visitors.
In-charge of Sindh Tourism Development Corporation Makhdoom Gulzar told the Media that the event was organized to promote tourism and the culture of Sindh adding that efforts were made for the implementation of SOP’s.
Men of letters, poets, students, and people from different walks of life were in attendance and expressed contentment over the increasing trend of cultural events in Sindh.
The Musical Concert was hosted by Bakhshan Mehranvi who fascinated the audience by reciting poetry at the intervals.
