Poetry: Our Love at this Moment

A Poem from Korea

And when my love

Grows heavy-eyed,

Yours is there,

Again and again, to rouse it back to light.

Our Love at this Moment

Our Love, As It Is Now

Even should our love

Grow drowsy, little by little, without our knowing,

Even should it close its eyes!

If one of us still keeps watch,

If one heart remains awake

Like the bright, fragrant wind of a summer morning,

Our love

Will not fall into ruin.

When your love begins to yawn,

Mine reaches out

And wakes it with a tender touch.

And when my love

Grows heavy-eyed,

Yours is there,

Again and again, to rouse it back to light.
