Staff Report

Karachi, Sindh

On the eve of the New Year, the civil society organizations lit candles in front of Karachi Press Club on Sunday in memory of the thousands of Palestinians martyred during the aggression of the Zionist State of Israel.

The event was attended by large number of workers of different political, social, human rights and trade union bodies including National Trade Union Federation (NTUF), Shehri Awami Mahaz, Home Based Women Workers Federation (HBWWF), Alternate and other organizations.

The participants of the gathering said that thousands of children, women and other innocent Palestinians are being martyred as a result of Israeli brutalities in Gaza. All schools, hospitals, electricity, water communication systems & infrastructure in Gaza have been destroyed. Gaza has been turned into the world’s largest prison, with all access to medicine, food and other essential supplies cut off, resulting in widespread famine and disease.

Israel’s aggression is directly supported by US imperialism, European governments, while the criminal silence and indifference of the majority of Muslim countries amounts to indirect support for Israeli brutality.
