Running towards light

A firefly

Only to catch fire and die.

images (3)FIREFLIES

All are after light

Even the festival of lights

In a reverse manner

Is a celebration of darkness!

If I had eyes but no vision

The world would be just dark for me

These two eyes too are

Burning candles.

Light, light, light

Knowledge, books, scriptures,

Seers, sages, prophets,

All spread light against an invisible darkness.

I am an insect of darkness

Running towards light

A firefly

Only to catch fire and die.
