He was talking to media persons on the occasion of “Sar Sabz Kisan Convention” organized by Sindh Agriculture Department here on Thursday.

He said that the Sindh government has tried to solve the problems including draining out rain/flood water in remaining areas so that people could go to their homes as early as possible. He informed that the Sindh government had distributed approximately 2 million tents and 3.5 million ration bags amongst flood affected people.

He said that after leveling lands for cultivation, awareness is being given to the farmers so that they could produce enough wheat so that we do not have to import it from outside. He said that it has been decided to give five thousand rupees per acre in the areas where seeds have not been provided. He said that there are complaints of adulteration of fertilizers on which action is being taken against the adulterers.

To a question, he sees elections at the end of May or in the start of June next year.
