Recently, during the birth anniversary festival of Amar Shaheed Sant Kanwarram Sahib in Amravati, a monograph jointly written by Dr. Vinod Asudani and Kishore Lalwani on the life of great Sindhi writer Arjun Hasid was released. This monograph is written in English.
Arjun Hasid is a well-known name in Sindhi literature. He is considered the king of Sindhi Ghazal.
The release ceremony was held in the presence of great grandson of Shaheed Sant Kanwarram Sahib, Kanwardham’s Gaddinshin Sai Rajeshlal, Sai Harishlal, Sai Kamal Jagasi of Vasanshah Darbar Nagpur.
Arjun Hasid is a well-known name in Sindhi literature. He is considered the king of Sindhi Ghazal.
Tulsi Setia, convener of Jayanti Mahotsav and member of Maharashtra State Sindhi Sahitya Academy informed that this book has elaborately highlighted the life and literary contribution of Arjun Hasid. This book has been published by Central Sahitya Academy, New Delhi under the series ‘Creators of Indian Literature’ of Central Sahitya Academy.
It is worth mentioning here that Dr. Vinod Asudani and Kishor Lalwani are well-known writers of Sindhi Hindi. Both these writers have been honoured with many literary awards by Maharashtra Sindhi Sahitya Academy and other academies.
Nagpur’s theatre director Harish Maidasani, senior theatre artist Gurmukh Motwani, Dr. Vijay Madnani, Parasram Chelani, Mrs. Jaya Chelani, Dinesh Kewalramani, Paresh Dembla, Chandu Gopani, Parmanand Kukreja were specially present in the release ceremony.
