The villagers are deprived of all the basic facilities like education, healthcare, potable water and electricity

Sonara Wadh, located in the District of Khuzdar Balochistan, is one of the scores of village in the province that are deprived of every basic need. The village people have several woes and are compelled to live a life without basic human rights.

Let me draw the picture of this village. The village Sonara is located in Wadh, Khuzdar District of Balochistan. It is, at least, 175 kilometers far from Khuzdar city having beautiful mountains, green trees, rivers with waterfalls, and picnic points. In this village, some most important Baloch cultural practices are prevalent which are essential for our Baloch people to be followed.

But unfortunately the Village of Sonara has been neglected in all respects, by the government. The village has no educational facility for the young generation, which is the chronic reason for the backwardness of this village.

After attaining the age of six years, every child of the village of Sonora will be a shepherd instead of getting the education, which means they are distant from the fruits of development and prosperity. This is due to our government’s neglect.

Same is the case of healthcare facilities. The village of Sonara has no hospital or any facility of emergency treatment, with the result that the people often lose their lives. The villagers have to transport the patients to Khuzdar which is far away. Many people don’t have money to go there for the treatment and it results in their death.

Water scarcity is another acute problem. The scarcity of water is an old issue of this village. The villagers have to consume contaminated water brought from far away areas by donkeys which is a big difficulty. The villagers have to travel from dawn to dusk to fetch water and go back to the village.

Like many other villages, Sonara village is also deprived of electricity. The villagers have never saw what the electricity is and what are its advantages and disadvantages for a human being. The electricity is provided till Wadh, and all other areas beyond Wadh are without such facility.

The government of Balochistan must take some steps to ensure that the people in this village are provided with basic facilities of education, healthcare, water supply and electricity.
