Sindh Mental Health Authority conducted Psychiatric Training Session in collaboration with Medical Emergency Resilience Foundation (MERF) and District Health Office, Thatta for male and female Medical Officers of District Thatta on Thursday 11th May, 2023.

The training session was held at the Auditorium of Government Poly Technic Institute Makli, Thatta, in which Associate Prof. Dr. Chooni Lal, Head of Psychiatry Department, JPMC, Karachi, Dr. Susheel, Dr. Waqim, Dr. Illayas and Dr. Alya delivered lectures and presentations to more than 90 doctors.

On this occasion, Senator Dr. Karim Ahmed Khawaja, Chairman, Sindh Mental Health Authority, Dr. Wahid Bux Soomro, Ex-Minister Health, Dr. Safdar Shah, DHO, Thatta, Adam Malik, Regional Manager, MERF, Dr. Syed Zafar Mehdi, Secretary SMHA, Ms. Laila Ranjani, and Health Professionals of District Thatta were also present.

SMHA also distributed booklets for psychiatric training of the doctors. (PR)
