Sindh Agri University sets up Mobile Veterinary Team for treatment of animals

A camp for rain-affected animals is also working in Faculty of Animal Husbandry. Students under the auspices of Self-Help Society are collecting donations for rain-affected people.

Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam has setup a mobile team consisting of veterinary experts for the treatment of rain-affected animals.

A mobile team formed by the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences for the treatment of rain-affected cattle, is led by veterinary expert Dr. Amjad Ali Mirani, while the Department of Animal Husbandry of the Government of Sindh is also assisting in the field of medicine.

SAU-Mobile-Team-SindhCourierSAU-Mobile-Team-SindhCourier-1The team is carrying out treatment along with diagnosis and vaccination of animals in different villages, at roads, and in the vicinity of camp in Tando Jam and Taluka Hyderabad Rural, while a medical camp for rain-affected animals is also ongoing in faculty. Director of Animal Husbandry Dr. Hizbullah Bhutto visited the mobile camp.

Experts and students including Dean Dr. Syed Ghiyasuddin Shah Rashdi, Dr. Bachal Bhutto, Dr. Abdul Latif Bhutto, and Dr. Amjad Mirani were present.

Meanwhile, the “Self-Help Society” of students of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam established a Rain Relief Camp to help the rain victims, where the students are collecting donations along with daily use items to help the rain-affected people. Vice Chancellor SAU visited the camp along with the heads of the academic and administrative departments and added their contribution.

SAU-Donation-Camp-Sindh-Courier-1The rain relief camp  is setup in front of the entrance of the university near Hyderabad Mirpur Khas Road on behalf of the Self Help Society of the students of University, in which students are not only collecting daily use items from people, but also donations from people by carrying boxes in their hands.

SAU-Donation-Camp-Sindh-Courier-2Addressing the students Dr. Fateh Marri said that the teachers and students of the University are treating the sick animals affected by the rains, as well as, the teachers and students of the colleges affiliated to the University in Dokri and Khairpur, including Sindh Agricultural University, Umerkot sub-campus, are engaged in social service.

Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Aijaz Ali Khoharo, Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences Dr. Syed Ghiyasuddin Shah Rashidi, Dean of Faculty of Crop Production Dr. Inayatullah Rajpar, Dean of Faculty of Crop Protection Dr. Manzoor Ali Abro, Director University Advancement and Financial Assistance Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Registrar Ghulam Mohiyuddin Qureshi, Project Director Riaz Hussain Soomro, Madam Sadia, teachers and a large number of students were present.
