As many as 171 male and female students of Batch-1 of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development Khairpur were awarded certificates on completion of 6-month courses in 13 different trades.
The certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Vice-Chancellor Secretariat of The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development Khairpur on Tuesday.
Students had completed the courses in different trades including Civil Engineering, Solar Technician, Mobile Repairing, Health & Safety, and Petroleum Technology etc.
This first Technical University of Sindh providing skill training with a monthly stipend of Rs.5000/- to the students, making them Skilled Technologist.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, who gave away the certificates to the passing out students, highlighting the importance of Technical Education, said that it is important need of the present era.
“For industrial development, it is necessary to make the youth highly skilled and educated,” he said.
On this occasion Prof. Dr. Hussain Bux Marri, Dean Faculty of Engineering Technology, Mir Sajjad Hussain Talpur Dean Faculty of Skill Development, Engr. Ayaz Ali Mandan, Zareen Arsalan, Sajid Khan were present. The event was attended by the large number of students.
