The Rebellious Faith – Mystic Poetry

God saw that I was turning rebellious
And a time might come
I stopped taking his commands
It would set a bad precedent
For coming contingent.

THE REBELLIOUS FAITH
God was very protective
In the beginning
And possessive too.
Would stop me here and there
And tell do’s and don’ts of the game of life
I was fed up with
This rigorous pontification
Was I a child to be breastfed?
Couldn’t I understand
His own good and bad?
God saw that I was turning rebellious
And a time might come
I stopped taking his commands
It would set a bad precedent
For coming contingent.
At last God had to compromise
And leave me to my fate
Do what you like
You will face the consequences
Of this rebellious faith.
This was how Gita evolved
And the Karmic philosophy
Which makes you
A sovereign of action and thought
Yet suffer whatever you have wrought.
