Prof. Mushtaq Bukhari had founded the school 44-years back for children of surrounding area along with children of Sindh Agriculture University staff.

An Academic Block, Scientific Lab and a Library, named after Prof. Mushtaq Bukhari, at Bukhari Model High School located in the residential colony of Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam was inaugurated on Tuesday.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Marri said that Professor Mushtaq Bukhari was a role model, and despite difficult circumstances he rendered valuable services in the field of Education and research and played a major role in providing the best academic environment to the youth of Sindh.
“He played an active role in the development of Sindh Agriculture University in its early days and that’s why despite the passage of 44 years, the work done by Mushtaq Bukhari is a source of enthusiasm for our students,” Dr. Marri said adding that his major achievement was the establishment of a model school for children of surrounding area along with children of university staff.
He said that in this era of competition, students will have to work hard in the field of education and prove their ability. “The efforts will be made to construct a new building of Bukhari Model School and the package of faculty providing excellent academic services will be enhanced,” he announced.
Dr. Syed Nadeem Ahmed, the son of late Professor Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, in his recorded message from Canada, said that it is a matter of honor for their family that despite the passage of almost half a century, tributes are being paid to the services of Professor Mushtaq Bukhari.
He said that this school was started with the efforts of his father, but unfortunately he died the day after the establishment of the school. Syed Nadeem Ahmed also announced to provide the financial support for the school.
Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan Mughal, Chairman, School Management Committee said that modern science lab, computer lab, multimedia class, library and staff room have been established in the school.
He said that along with the development of the school, we have preserved the history of other personalities associated with this school including Professor Mushtaq Bukhari.
Ms. Zahra Imran Principal of the school said that a large number of students of this school won the highest number of medals in the recent sports competitions, and a large number of students have secured distinction marks in the board examinations.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor distributed certificates of appreciation to the students who showed high performance in various fields, while the students also participated in speeches and sports.
Dean Dr. Aijaz Ali Khooharo, Dean Dr. Syed Ghiyasuddin Shah Rashidi, Dean Dr. Manzoor Ali Abro, Registrar Ghulam Mohiyuddin Qureshi, Director Finance Aneel Kumar, Dr. Khadim Hussain Wagan, Dr. Aijaz Soomro and others were also present. (PR)
