Medicine Unit-1, Paeds Medicine, Ophthalmology, Surgery and Gynecology departments are already providing training to postgraduate students

A team of College of Physician and Surgeons Pakistan on Tuesday visited Khairpur Medical College (KMC) to accredit its three units for post-graduation training program.
The team comprising Professor Dr. Hakim Abro, Professor Dr. Zaffar, Prof. Dr. Rafiq Ahmed and Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashraf visited Medicine Unit-11, Orthopedic and Neurosurgery departments of the Khairpur Medical College to accredit these three departments for postgraduate degrees.
Prof: Dr. Kirpal Das, in-charge Medical Unit-11, Dr. Naveed Ahmed Solangi, in-charge department of Orthopedic and Dr. Mukhtair Lakho, in-charge department of Neurosurgery briefed the team about their respective units and told that their Units have sufficient facilities to train the postgraduate Students.
Principal, Khairpur Medical College, Prof. Rukhsar Ali Shahani, Head of department Medicine Prof: Dr. Javeed Ahmed Phulpoto and Administrator Dr. Abdul Hayee Phulpoto briefed the team about the academic and healthcare facilities provided by the KMC to the students. They told the team that there is a pleasant atmosphere at KMC.
They further told the team that Medicine Unit-1, Paeds Medicine, Ophthalmology, Surgery and Gynecology departments are already providing training to postgraduate students.
Prof: Dr. Hakim Abro while talking to the faculty members of the KMC Khairpur said that CPSP has continuously striven for excellence in postgraduate medical education by developing and maintaining academic standards at the highest level.
In order to develop and recommend academic standards and frameworks, the College has specialist faculties drawn from amongst the most eminent professors and specialists in various fields of medicine, surgery and dentistry.
The specialist faculties with the assistance of the Department of Medical Education develops curricula for each specialty, criteria for accreditation and appointment of supervisors and examiners.
