FB_IMG_1712811739672According to spokesperson of Balochistan Government, the truck carrying the pilgrims from Thatta Sindh had fallen in ravine near hub district while en route to Shah Noorani Shrine in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district. The vehicle fell down while taking a turn.

Karim Baksh, the truck driver, who was also injured in the accident, has been taken into custody by police.

The police officials of Sakro Police Station of Thatta said that people had left for the pilgrimage from Makli’s Qasim Jokhio village.

Edhi ambulance service’s social workers informed that the information about the accident was received by 11pm last night, while the rescue operation was completed within two hours.

The 17 dead bodies were first transferred to the Civil Hospital Hub, then to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth Karachi.
