Chief Secretary directs concerned secretaries to complete all the formalities of the deceased quota applications at the earliest.

In a meeting on Tuesday, presided over by Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, 375 more jobs were approved under the deceased employees’ quota in provincial government departments.

“Some 7648 jobs have been sanctioned in various departments of Sindh government since 2019,” Mumtaz Shah informed the meeting convened to review implementation of deceased quota. The meeting was attended by the secretaries of various departments.

The meeting approved 375 deceased quota jobs in 17 departments of Sindh government including 7 in Agriculture department, 14 in college education, 62 in Health, 35 in Irrigation department, 52 in Local Government department, 172 in School Education department, 7 in Works Service, 2 in Public Health Engineering, 2 in Excise, 2 in SGA&CD, 2 in Social Welfare,  and 1 in DEPD, 2 in Auqaf, Religious Affairs & Zakat Usher Department, 1 in Labor department, 1 in Energy Department and 12 jobs were sanctioned in the Forest and Wild Life department.

Chief Secretary directed all the secretaries to complete all the formalities of the deceased quota applications as soon as possible and said that the salaries of the cases, which were earlier approved by the Implementation Committee, should be released.

He also directed all the Deputy Commissioners to convene the District Recruitment Committee (DRC) meeting and also directed all the secretaries to submit the details of the DRC.

Meanwhile, a delegation of special children of Darul Sukoon called on Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah on Tuesday. Chief Secretary said that the Sindh government provides financial assistance to organizations working for special children. (PR)
