The Future Lies in Artificial Intelligence!!

But it’s not a replacement for humans, and won’t be anytime soon, however, the progress in this discipline is quite remarkable.

What seems to be unbelievable are the scientific intentions and inventions, which have brought about the revolution. The unending breakthrough that we experience every moment has just begun, however, the future of mankind seems to be associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The AI is intelligence perceiving, synthesizing, and inferring information demonstrated by machines, as opposed to intelligence displayed by non-human animals and humans.

Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine vision are few to name.

The purpose of AI is to provide software that can reason on input and explain output. AI will provide human-like interactions with software and offer decision support for specific tasks, but it’s not a replacement for humans, and won’t be anytime soon, however, the progress in this discipline is quite remarkable.

The journey of AI started back in 1950 and John McCarthy was one of the most influential scientists in the field. He is known as the “father of artificial intelligence” because of his fantastic work in Computer Science and AI. McCarthy is also known to coin the term “artificial intelligence”.

It is hard to predict the real future of AI, however, scientists reveal that by 2030, artificial intelligence (AI) will be an essential component of day-to-day company operations

The productivity of artificial intelligence may boost our workplaces, which will benefit people by enabling them to do more work. As the future of AI replaces tedious or dangerous tasks, the human workforce is liberated to focus on tasks for which they are more equipped, such as those requiring creativity and empathy.

It is hard to predict the real future of AI, however, scientists reveal that by 2030, artificial intelligence (AI) will be an essential component of day-to-day company operations, assisting individuals in their creative activities, producing new ideas, and solving previously unachievable technologies. In some cases, collaborating with AI will be needed.

The past decade, however, has shown unprecedented growth in the development of AI technologies – mainly unlocked by the availability of computing power, the enormous amount of training data made available by the Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and the decrease in cloud storage and computing costs.

It is the right time for Pakistani policy maker to encourage investments in the field of AI for a prosperous future of young scientists.

Artificial intelligence has been a trending buzzword for some time. It’s a term commonly used for machines, computer-controlled robots, and software systems performing intelligent tasks such as learning, planning, reasoning, and interacting – simulating the natural intelligence displayed by humans and animals.

The global AI software industry is growing rapidly. Reports suggest that it is expected to reach $126 billion by 2025. It is considered an engine of economic growth and the next big disruptor. Many countries have developed dedicated AI frameworks and policies to facilitate education programs and research and development (R&D) centers to forward technological advancements and economic growth.

In Pakistan, it is the right time to embark upon smart approaches based on artificial intelligence. After all, Pakistan has great potential in AI, with its scope ranging from solving local problems in agriculture, governance, climate change, and manufacturing, to creating tech unicorns and services companies specializing in hi-tech/ AI software exports. There is also a need to investigate China’s “Next Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan,” the US executive order on “AI leadership,” and “AI Made in Germany”, for, after all, Pakistan, has great potential in AI, with its scope ranging from solving local problems in agriculture, governance, climate change, and manufacturing, to creating tech unicorns and services companies specializing in hi-tech/ AI software exports.

It is the right time for Pakistani policy maker to encourage investments in the field of AI for a prosperous future of young scientists.
