The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) on Monday gifted a specially designed school bus to an education and health campus in Sindh.
Located in Tando Allah Yar district, Rashidabad Education and Health Campus hosts 10 educational institutions, 5 health institutions, an orphanage and different vocational training centers.
The school bus was delivered to the Rashid Memorial Welfare organization at a ceremony held at the campus by Turkish Consul General in Karachi, Cemal Sangu.
TİKA Karachi Program Coordinator Halil İbrahim BAŞARAN, Turkish Maarif Foundation Hyderabad Coordinator Ramazan KIŞKIR, Founder and President of Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization Air Commodore (R) Shabbir Ahmed Khan and the administrators, teachers and students of institutions on campus also attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Turkish Consul General said “We, as Turkish nation, didn’t forget the help of our Muslim brothers from subcontinent during the Khilafat moment. We are brother countries and will continue to support each other.”
Basran,TIKA”s Karachi Program Coordinator, said that they agency has realized several projects in the field of education and health across Pakistan in recent years.
Air Commodore (R) Khan, said that previously, TİKA established a state-of-the -art auditorium at Rashidabad in 2019, and now this beautiful school bus is a new addition to the gifts received from the Turkish people.
He thanked TİKA and Türkiye for their contributions to the campus.
TIKA has so far carried out more than 130 educational projects in Pakistan since 2007.
