Asian Development Bank was never a part of the Malir Expressway project rather the Malir Expressway is a project of the Sindh government

A meeting, held with Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Investment and Public Private Partnership Unit Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar in the chair on Monday, was informed that Malir Expressway is a completely safe project from the environmental point of view, as it has been declared safe in the environmental study report by the Environmental Protection Authority (E.P.A).
The meeting at the office of Sindh Secretariat Public Private Partnership Unit here, reviewed the construction work of Malir Expressway.
The consultant of the project presented a detailed briefing. It was told that the Asian Development Bank was never a part of the Malir Expressway project rather the Malir Expressway is a project of the Sindh government.
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that Malir Expressway is a very important project of the Sindh government aimed at solving the transport problems of Karachi. He directed that steps should be taken to complete the project in stipulated time so that the citizens can benefit from the project.
Director General Public Private Partnership Unit Asad Zaman and related officers, project consultant and other concerned engineers participated in the meeting. (PR)
