The Women – Poetry from Bengal

Women’s are the easiest prey of human vultures,

So forget, forget all about them.

Women have no cast, no religion, no citizenship

They’re but flesh…

The Women

Don’t worry they can take care of themselves

Though

Women’s are the easiest prey of human vultures,

So forget, forget all about them.

Women have no cast, no religion, no citizenship

They’re but flesh…

You may find them in your market place, in any slaughter house

In every corridor of your place

In every single kitchen

Women are meant for heckled harassed ruined and ravished.

Don’t show them your sympathy they don’t need

Not your compassion they ever bother

Nor even your protest they trust.

Leave them alone, you fool mortals, let them live

Leave the race that you call woman

With their voice heart and flesh

From where you’re born

Forget, forget, forget to rescue them

You are not meant for this at all.

***

In Justice

Let me change

Let me crush

Let me mend n

Let me rush

The way you look

Like forgotten brook

Your crazy words

Cranky desires

Make them feel

Just to kill

And rest in peace

For your kiss

So

Let me rush

Let me mend

Let me crush and

Let me change

The way you treat

The way you greet

The smile you hang

The siren song once you sang

They came to burn

You ended others turn

That made them feel

Just to kill

And

They hung

Hungry women to feed your dreams

Your hunger and whims

So

Let me change

Let me crush

Let me mend and

Let me rush

Your magic and mind….

But

Scapegoats are kind!

***

Though

Never shed a tear

That will hurt him

Him or his soul

Is there anything you define as soul

But he doesn’t have his body

But…. but…. but

I never shed a tear that will hurt him

Does anything hurt him anymore?

Any honor makes him crazy?

Or makes him more indifferent?

But I never shed a tear.

No father expects tears in his daughter’s eyes

If he’s here

Or

Nowhere else!!
