Poem: Whispers of a Butterfly

Poetry from Uzbekistan

In morning light, on petals fair,

A butterfly floats through the air.

With wings of silk and colors bright,

She dances in the golden light.

FlowerWhispers of a Butterfly

In morning light, on petals fair,

A butterfly floats through the air.

With wings of silk and colors bright,

She dances in the golden light.

She flits from bloom to blooming rose,

A painter where the wild wind blows.

No map, no plan, no single sound,

Just graceful swirls above the ground.

Her journey’s short, yet full of grace,

A fleeting dream we can’t replace.

She teaches us with every flight,

That beauty lies in moments light.

From caterpillar’s silent sleep,

Through dark cocoons and changes deep,

She breaks the walls that held her tight—

Emerging bold in purest white.

Oh butterfly, so light and free,

A symbol of what we can be.

Though fragile wings may one day cease,

You leave the world a touch of peace.

So fly, dear soul, through skies so high,

A rainbow brushstroke in the sky.

For even days that fade too fast

Can bloom with joy while they still last.
